Clinical Research Core

The Clinical Research Core of the Human Rights Impact Lab is focused on clinical research and clinical trials with displaced populations. In a context where few studies globally investigate migrant health through rigorous clinical research, we aim to establish the standard of care across multiple health conditions.

Chronic Pain Diagnosis and Treatment in Torture Survivors

NIH K23 Funded

The five-year, $975,000 NIH grant supports Dr. Kaur's research that aims to improve the diagnosis and treatment of chronic pain in torture survivors through a multi-institutional study with refugees. The findings of the study will inform subsequent studies into treatment outcomes.
